I've decided to create a blog spot as a friend from church suggested as a good way of keeping family and friends informed of the going ons in the Miller household.
I hope this will help in keeping in touch and make our distance not feel so distant. So why don't we begin.
Audrey will be 2 next week! It's amazing how quickly these 2 years have flown by. Audrey is such a lovely little girl. She's full of joy and has so much energy. I only wish I had the energy of a toddler to keep up with her. Her favorite thing to do these days is to sing. She LOVES to sing. To my amazement, we were driving home from Target today, stopped at a stop light and I hear from the back seat "Jesus love me this I know for the bible telleles me so. Little onenes him long .. weak .. strong. YAY!!!! " It was so cute and I was really impressed. She also loves to sing "Twinkle Little Star how wonder what are!" She has a very unique rendition of it. Hope you can all hear it sometime. It's quite catchy of a tune.
As for little Samuel. Well, he's enjoying life .. finally! The first 6 weeks were how would you say.. really rough. The poor child cried so much from pain... pain from the circumcision, then pain from Gas ... praise God we figured out the gas problems.. turns out a little bit of sacrifice on my part goes a LONG way for our ears sake. That means no dairy products and no OJ for me for awhile. But that's okay if that means my little samuel is happy. When he cries, he's got the saddest little frown it would make anyone cry.
As for us, Derek and I that is, well, we're chugging along. We're excited about being in Chicago for the first time since we've been here. It really seems that God is moving and we're so excited to be a part of it. He's led us to a church where we've been able to really get connected and build friendships so quickly. He's also led us to partner with some other churches and ministries to reach even more students. We're excited about what God has in store for this new fall semester.
Well, that's it for now. Oh! Audrey went to the park with some kids from church the other day and just LOVED the sprinkler. In fact, she loved it so much she was there by herself playing for half an hour while the rest of us were eating lunch 10 feet away. These are times I wish we had a yard where Audrey could run around and play in sprinklers all the time.
