Travelling

More pictures to come later -- Blogger seems to be having trouble uploading my pictures :(

Yes, that's what we've been doing the entire month of September. Every weekend we were travelling some where. Fun but very exhausting. First stop, Brooklyn New York where my beautiful cousin Winnie got married to her sweet heart Chris. It was a beautiful wedding, well thought out and delicious food. Did I say the food was delicious? It was also really fun to see my family.

Second stop, Apple River, IL. Yes, we needed a family vacation. I once read that less is more when it comes to travelling with toddlers. So we decided to rent a lake house for 3 nights and 4 days at the nearby Apply Canyon Lake. It was a nice surprise as we originally thought we rented a house at Galena. Oops. But we had a great time. Audrey loved roasting marshmallows and loved the fact that she got to sleep in a bunk bed and we all loved the fact that we got to be in a 3 bedroom house for a little while. Space is nice. Audrey also got to go golfing with her daddy!

Third stop, Fort Wayne, IN. Our little niece, Eva Hope turned 1! It was a great time with family and we even got to see my college roommate, Deanne and her husband, Reuben. We visited DeBrand's Chocolate Cafe -- the best chocolate place and an old stomping ground while attending Indiana Univ.

Last stop, Westfield, WI Pine Retreat Center. We had our annual staff retreat where we had a relaxing time with fellow staff from China Outreach. It was a nice time fellowshipping and being encouraged in the minstry to the Chinese. Audrey had a great time as well with the other kids. She even got to ride in a canoe!

On the home front, one of my best friends, Erin, was here on furlough and visited Chicago for 3 weeks sharing with others about the boys she ministers to in Nigeria and visiting friends like me :) We got to spend a lot of quality time with E and Audrey and Samuel just loved their Auntie Erin.

Also, Samuel rolled over yesterday and is now grabbing his rattle. He laughs and giggles and is starting to interact with his big sister. It's so much fun to watch!
