Christmas Time

Christmas was great fun. We spent the weekend prior to Christmas in Indiana with Derek's side of the family. Mom Miller (aka Grandma) fixed a bunch of Christmas goodies that filled our tummies. Like 4 lbs of bacon, fried mush, egg casserole, sweet rolls, cheese and chocolate fondue, etc. =) It's a good thing we only eat like that once a year! It was also a special occasion as Derek's parents paid off the farm this past weekend! So it was fun celebrating that as well. The kids loved opening gifts and we enjoyed good conversation about God's faithfulness through the new year.

Christmas morning was spent in Chicago. We had fun celebrating with just the 4 of us at home this year. Audrey and Samuel loved opening their gifts. In the evening we celebrated with 14 others. Chinese students from UIC and IIT and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ celebrated with us as well. We had a great time.

Day after Christmas we went to Navy Pier with the Whiteley's and spent the morning at Winter wonderfest. Unfortunately Audrey was afraid of all the rides. Fortunately for us we didn't buy tickets yet :) But she did have fun bringing home a new friend. "Meimei" her new Hello Kitty from Build-a-Bear. Thanks Bob and Mj for the gift certificate!

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy some of the photos.
